Privacy Policy
At Grammica, we are deeply committed to protecting your privacy and keeping your content completely confidential. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect, and handle information when you visit grammica.com or use our AI-powered writing analysis tools — including grammar & readability checks, tone analysis, SEO optimization with E-E-A-T scoring, entity/semantic analysis, radar chart summaries, and all related features.
We designed Grammica to be simple, private, and user-friendly: most tools are available completely free and anonymously with no account required — which means we collect and store almost nothing in those cases. Optional accounts are only needed for higher word limits, saved history, or premium features — and even then, you stay in full control.
1. Information We Collect
A. Your Submitted Text / Content
When using tools anonymously (no login):
- We process your text in real time to generate results (grammar highlights, readability scores using Flesch-Kincaid and Dale-Chall, tone percentages, SEO/E-E-A-T insights, entity detection, etc.).
- Your text is automatically deleted from our systems within seconds to minutes after you receive your results.
- We never store, log, save, or retain anonymous submissions in any way.
When logged in (optional account):
- If you turn on the Save Analysis History toggle in your account settings (this toggle is off by default), we securely store your submitted text and analysis results so you can review them later.
- You can turn this feature off at any time, which prevents future saving and lets you delete any previously saved analyses.
- We never use your content to train AI models — your text remains 100% private to your account.
B. Account Information (Only if you choose to register)
- Basic details such as email address and name (if provided).
- If you sign up with Google, you can optionally set up an email/password login as an alternative.
- For paid plans (Basic or Pro): We securely process billing through trusted third-party providers (Stripe, PayPal, etc.). We do not store your full payment card details.
C. Automatically Collected Technical Information
For security, performance, and basic site operation, we may collect limited, anonymized data such as:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device and operating system information
- Approximate location (derived from IP — no precise tracking)
- Pages visited and basic usage patterns
D. Cookies
We use only essential cookies needed for site functionality and remembering preferences (e.g., dark mode, language). We do not use cookies for targeted advertising or tracking across websites.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the limited information we collect solely to:
- Provide accurate, real-time writing analysis
- Improve and maintain the service
- Process payments and manage subscriptions (paid users only)
- Respond to support requests or feedback
- Detect and prevent abuse or technical issues
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your data, use your submitted content for AI training, or share it for marketing purposes.
3. Sharing Your Information
We share information only in these limited situations:
- With trusted service providers (cloud hosting, payment processors) who are bound by strict confidentiality agreements
- If required by law (valid court order, government request, etc.)
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of Grammica, our users, or the public
Your submitted text — even when saved in an account — is never shared with third parties except for secure, temporary processing.
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard security practices, including:
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- Secure servers and access controls
- Regular security monitoring
While no system can be guaranteed 100% secure, we take every reasonable step to protect your information.
5. Data Retention
- Anonymous text: Deleted immediately after analysis completes.
- Saved analysis history (opt-in): Retained only while the feature is enabled and your account is active. You can delete items or disable the feature anytime.
- Technical/log data: Kept for a short period (usually 30–90 days) for security and performance, then deleted or fully anonymized.
Account deletion:
When you choose to delete your account (via settings → type "DELETE MY ACCOUNT" to confirm):
- Account deactivates immediately
- You have 7 days to log back in and reactivate (a popup will confirm reactivation)
- After 7 days without reactivation, your account and all associated data (including any saved analyses) are permanently deleted — this action is irreversible.
- Any active subscriptions are canceled upon permanent deletion.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR in EU/EEA, CCPA in California, or similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to opt out of certain processing.
Since we collect very minimal data and provide easy self-service deletion (especially for anonymous use), most requests are handled quickly. To exercise your rights, contact us at the email below.
7. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your home country (for example, via global cloud infrastructure). We use appropriate safeguards to protect your information during any international transfers.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
